The Kulture Space is happy to introduce the first street photography workshop of 2025 with Ben Growden..
In association with “Garden Books”, we are offering a unique workshop based around Vivian Maier, a famous street photographer who’s work was only discovered after she passed away, leaving many, stunned and intrigued by such a beautiful body of work that spanned many years.
WORKSHOP CONTENTS
Looking for something to do this weekend?
Have a camera that you've not used in a while?
Maybe you could do with some cool prints for your wall?
The Kulture Space introduces a brand new street photography workshop in collaboration with Garden Books where we will not only take a look into a truly amazing story but also get to know what made "Vivian Maier" such a unique person.
Our workshop will consist of an introduction period where Ben will introduce himself and some of his works and stories and will then introduce the amazing story of Vivian. After this, we will take to the streets and walk along our photography route where you will all be given a list of subjects to choose from to help the process of shooting.
Once we return we will analyze, talk about and edit our shots. we'll also choose our favourite image then write about it, preparing it for print.
The print will then be sent to you in the post after CNY due to the print shop not being open but normally, the process would be much faster.

ABOUT VIVIAN
In photography, few names evoke as much intrigue and fascination as that of Vivian Maier. An enigmatic figure whose life was shrouded in mystery, Maier's remarkable body of work came to light only after her passing, revealing a photographic legacy that captivates and inspires to this day.
Born in New York City in 1926 to a French mother and an Austrian father, Vivian Maier's early years were marked by a sense of wanderlust and curiosity about the world around her. Her nomadic upbringing took her from the bustling streets of New York to the picturesque countryside of France, instilling in her a deep appreciation for the beauty and diversity of life.
